Westworld season 3 release date
No release date yet, despite SDCC having been gone. It is still placed to get a date in 2020, but this may be any time next year.
That said, season two proved in April and using a Game of Thrones-sized gap to match in its schedule, HBO will likely use Westworld season 3 to fill that slot, which generally runs from April to May, and may even stretch in the summer months.
That is so much all unconfirmed, and also the very first season doesn’t rule out an even longer wait.
It’s also worth pointing out that, along with the Westworld period 3 release date being MIA, we also do not have an episode count. Both preceding seasons featured 10 episodes, so it may yet follow the same blueprint.
Westworld year 3 trailer
With the season of Westworld not returning to our screens you’d be forgiven for thinking it would be some time before we clapped eyes but not so.
HBO took advantage of the fact that pretty much everyone tuned in to see the Game of Thrones finale and aired the first Westworld season 3 trailer right before incident 6 started.
It shows surprisingly little of those characters we have come to know, although you can watch for your self in the 90-second long Westworld teaser above.
The principal focus is on a character played with Breaking the Aaron Paul who narrates the trailer of Bad. “Sometimes it looks like the world looks fine like they have put a coating of paint on it,” Paul says in a voiceover. “But inside it is rotting to pieces”
The Westworld trailer reveals Paul’s character going about his normal life – work, seeing family, engaging in what looks suspiciously like crime – all set to the soundtrack of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, and it is not until the last few minutes that we get a fantastic look at the one and only Dolores. She doesn’t look in a good way and we are betting that is about to get pulled into her perilous universe.
Westworld season 3 cast
The Westworld season 3 casting news is that Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad has united as a series regular, Caleb, and he could be the most fascinating addition of the show.
Paul (who said throughout the SDCC panel he’s a”psycho lover” of this series”) will be closely attached to Big Bad, Dolores during the entire year, and she may even mellow due to it.
Evan Rachel Wood, for her part, told the SDCC viewers that”Her interactions with [Caleb] type of making her challenge her assumptions about humankind.”
Aaron Paul’s character is right down as a series regular and, interestingly enough, could also have a robot pet.
He will be joined by additional novices Master of None celebrity Lena Waithe, Scott Mescudi (aka rapper Kid Cudi), and former NFL player Marshawn Lynch, who appears in the teaser trailer as part of Paul’s crew.
As for other new Westworld year 3 cast members, Deadline has also reported that French actor Vincent Cassel, who you might recognize from Black Swan and Ocean’s Twelve, will play with a new villain.
That is, of course, unconfirmed, though Thandie Newton mentioned off-hand in the SDCC panel through filming, which she talked about. Could they be sharing scenes?
In terms of returning cast members, we all know Evan Rachel Wood is going to soon be back as Dolores and Jeffrey Wright as Bernard, also, given where we left him.
However, some other familiar faces have been verified for season, which might surprise you and could count as minor spoilers, so be certain to want to understand before reading.
Westworld season 3 episode count
The Westworld season 3 episode count has been verified, and you may be a little disappointed. Rather than its usual batch of 10 episodes, an eight-episode run, as supported by HBO in September will be kicked off by April 2020.
