Probably one of the most ambitious games announced at Ubisoft’s E3 2019 showcase is the upcoming hacking title, Watch Dogs: Legion. As stated in the reveal trailer, Watch Dogs: Legion allows you to play as any character in the vast open-world to build up resistance to backstabbing and repel London.

When is the release date?

While the Watch Dogs Legion was scheduled to be released in March 2020, the game was subsequently delayed, and no exact release date was given. It is now planned for the 2020-21 fiscal year, which runs from April 2020 to March 2021, so some time will pass in that period, but we do not know more than that.

At least it helps avoid competition from some other big titles coming in spring 2020 – check out our guide to all the best upcoming games to see what’s more on the way.
Which platform is it coming on?

The game will not only be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC but will also be Google’s upcoming streaming service Google Stadia.

What is the gameplay like?

What’s impressive is that Ubisoft claims that each character is unique, with its animations, voiceovers, and traits, all of which influence how you experience the game. The trailer featured some characters ranging from an ex-MI5 agent to a nanny killer, which reflected the accurate scale of the Legion offers.

Of course, Watch Dogs is all about technology, and this is true of Legion. London is the perfect setting for such a game, with a vast CCTV network that players can use to track people of interest and actively activate destructive hacks. Other than killer drones and other dangerous technology can’t hurt either.

Along with the announcement trailer (seen at the top of this article), Ubisoft released a gameplay trailer, giving fans an idea of what to expect from the hacking sensation when it releases next year. It is only longer than 11 minutes, so sit comfortably and be ready to impress.

One of the most exciting features of One Watch Dogs Legion is that it will let you play as anyone in the city of London. But many people are wondering how this will work in practice. Well, Ubisoft dropped an explainer video talking about Gamer 2019, highlighting the different types of people you’ll find, and how each character has their unique perks, builds, and abilities.

For example, Victor is a “chappy,” who will take less damage after necking down four beers. Yes, that’s right. Beer-swilling damages immunity. Another character is shown, Sue, a top lawyer who can get your operatives out of jail, no questions asked. It seems so easy. Oh, and there is an old fellow who can die randomly at any moment.

Yes, there is permadeath. Each character has their own origin story, and after you help them solve a problem, they will then join your team and become playable. With a lot of variety and a lot of potentials, it seems that Legion will be jam-packed with all types of personalities.
