Venom 2 – when is the Venom sequel coming to cinemas? And Everything You Need To Know


So Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Venom proved to be a huge hit, regardless of the testimonials, meaning it will not be a surprise for anybody that a sequel is on the road.

Before the first film was released, cast members were referring to a sequel, even though they did clam up instantly after uttering those confirmations. 


However, with the film surpassing the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool two in the box office, a sequel has been guaranteed.

Plus it appears Sony is growing it using the first picture’s co-writer Kelly Marcel back to write the screenplay and executive produce.

When is Venom 2 released in cinemas? 

While it’s been officially confirmed yet, it appears fairly likely that the Venom sequel is going to be published on October 2nd, 2020.

Sony has bookmarked that championship for an”Untitled Sony/Marvel sequel,” And given that the film came out from October to achievement there is no reason would try and fix something that worked.

Who’s in the cast?

It also seems likely that Woody Harrelson, That came-od as serial killer Cletus Kasady in Venom’s first post-credits scene, Will be back for the sequel. 

In the comics, Kasady ends up communicating with another symbiote (Venom’s offspring) to turn into the supervillain Carnage, a character so heinous that foes Spider-Man and Venom banded together to down him in his early appearances.

“I’m in a tiny fraction of this film, but I will be in another one, you know?” He told Collider in May 2018.

The sequel’s cinematographer Robert Richardson also appeared to affirm Harrelson’s participation in a later interview. “You have a remarkable central personality with Venom, but today you’ve got Woody Harrelson, who is going to create his small entrance,” he explained.

James Bond star Naomie Harris has also been tipped for a role in the Venom movie, playing sound-powered comic-book celebrity (and Carnage sidekick) Shriek, even though at the moment her character is not confirmed.

Line of Duty and The Irishman’s Stephen Graham will play an as-yet-undisclosed role.
