Remakes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 may be in development at Activision, asserts industry literary and journalist, Sabi.
According to the source, and Activision contact alerted them to the fact that prototypes for both remakes have been going around Activision.
Now, it’s uncertain if these demos were greenlit to be developed into projects that are complete, but at the Activision is looking into reviving the series from yesteryear, or so that’s exactly what the above leaker alleges.
“An Activision contact told me a week or so back about how Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 had demos/prototypes remade,” said Sabi on Twitter. “They went around internally. I didn’t share before as I was not sure when they were being remade as full matches, or merely a test.”
Sabi continues, noting that the information which they have has been less or more collaborated by other industry insiders known for their scoops. The journalist isn’t 100 percent convinced if remakes are now in development.
As you might be aware, Activision has remade Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1, which introduced back in 2012. It was not well-received given its troubles. Nevertheless, the idea that it would remake these incredibly popular games is not that crazy, even if Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 completely shattered.
Still however, take this information. Everything is subject to change, if everything here is correct. Further, even the source is not sure if those prototypes ever got updated to remakes that are full.
Whatever the scenario, let us say these remakes are in development right now that knows when we’ll hear about them. If they are in development, we might hear them about next month at The Sport Awards 2019.
