Things you should know about ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 8

Last November, Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans were blessed with the news of the cop comedy being renewed for an eighth season.

Considering the show was pulled back after its death in 2018 when NBC picked up the series for the sixth season just a day after Fox Studio canceled it.

Speculations about the next installment.

Yes! The show declared the news on their Twitter on 14th November,

before the premiere of season seven.

The cast was surprised by the amazing news revealed to them by producers in a clip shared on the show’s Twitter page.

“Good things come to those who wait. The #Brooklyn99 team will be coming back for Season 8 on NBC!,” was the tweet.

When is season 8 coming?

While core fans know there’s no exact release date till now.

Based on former airing schedules, we will be able to stream season 8 around February and April 2021.

Generally, the show appears after a year gap, though there was a longer gap between season 5 and 6 due to changeover in the distributor.

Who will be in the cast?

The FBI comedy now in its seventh season. 

The series follows a distinct team of detectives in the fictional 99th Area of the New York City Police Department in Brooklyn.

The skilled Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) and Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti) are in.

Still, casting hasn’t been announced by Netflix, but it’s pretty known who will be back by seeing who was celebrating the renewal.

Melissa Fumero, who acts Amy Santiago, tweeted a picture of herself with the cast, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti, Andrew Braugher, and Dirk Blocker, showing up the number eight in celebration.

What will happen in season 8?

The fans still don’t know how season 7 finishes.

So, the plot of season 8 will be kept under wraps for a long time. 

We can say with a lot of assurances that it’ll continue to showcase the adversities in the NYPD’s police department.

Currently, you can see Brooklyn Nine-Nine seasons 1 to 5 on Netflix, with season 6 arriving on the steamer on 28th March 2020.

There’s still a long pause ahead of season 8.
