The principal photography continues on The Matrix 4 in San Francisco, and now, a set video has revealed a new action sequence teasing a familiar tactic employed by the original trilogy’s primary antagonist Agent Smith.
In the video, which has been leaked, the cars are being seen swarmed by hostile crowds in a nighttime sequence. However, if you look closer it then reveals many of the figures attacking the vehicles as they attempt to escape are the stunt performers.
They have a similar body type, then similar hairstyles, and outfits as well. They suggest that they are the duplicates attempting to overwhelm the pursued.
When The Matrix Reloaded started it revealed Smith had become a rogue program within the Matrix, able to take over multiple host bodies within the simulated world and proliferate like a bad virus.
Untenable, the machines then entered a tenuous alliance with Neo. This was done to allow him to become infected by Smith and destroy him from inside.
With Hugo Weaving reportedly will not be reprising his role as Agent Smith due to his scheduling conflicts for the upcoming sequel, it is very much unclear if Agent Smith will play a role at all, but his presence will be felt by the hostiles double menacing Neo and Trinity once again.
The new part is being directed by Lana Wachowski, the movie will be starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne-Moss, then we will also see Jada Pinkett Smith, Yahya Abdul Mateen II, and some more important characters.
The fans of the franchise want to see Agent Smith coming back, as his previous roles were very good and exciting it gave a good plot to the whole story.
But the fans have been very disappointed because he will not be returning to the new part. This has been confirmed that Hugo Weaving will not return.
