The renewal announcement for season 4 of The Last Kingdom was made in 2018. In 2019 had all the filming arrangement was completed for The Last Kingdom season 4.
Well, following all that sequence of the report, we’re expecting its arrival anytime this year. Though no particular date of release has been given for it.
Who’s in the cast for season 4?
The season 4 cast will have the following actors:
Alexander Dreymon as Uhtred of Bebbanburg, Joseph Millson as Aelfric, Ian Hart as Father Beocca, Toby Regbo as Aethelred, Emily Cox as Brida, Timothy Innes as King Edward, Eliza Butterworth as Aelswith, Mark Rowley as Finan, Millie Brady as Aelhelflaed. Jamie Blackley, as Eardwulf might be joining in season 4.
Stefanie Martini, as Eadith and Eardwulf as Eadith’s brother, might bring a new twist in the plot. The storyline for the historical characters and Edward could be seen doing much in action than ever earlier.

Will people trust Edward as the king?
After the death of King Alfred, the next heir to the throne is supposed to be King Edward.
The people will likely accept Edward as their King. So, let’s wait and see if there’s any shift in people’s way of believing the new King.
