The Crown actress Emma Corrin nailed a Princess Diana look in her recent shoot session for season 4 of this Netflix series. Corrin, 24, was spotted in Manchester last week where the shoot is underway.
The dress she was sporting was similar to the Victor Edelson gown that the Princess of Wales wore some 30 years ago. The event was The Brooklyn Academy of Music on February 3, 1999.
The actress was also seen wearing a wig which was styled to look very similar to Diana’s signature look.
The actress was waving cheerfully at the fans gathered all around the set. The set makers tried to recreate the 1989 event.
The Big Apple was the royal’s first official visit to New York. A trip to remember indeed. It was Diana’s first overseas trip without her then-husband Prince Charles.
Season four is the first season where the Princess of Wales is introduced a character in the British royal family.
In January, Corrin wore a floral dress similar to one worn by Diana before her marriage to Prince Charles.
What colleagues say:
Josh O’Connor plays Charles in the series. To quote his statement to Harper’s Bazaar, “Emma’s doing a brilliant job, and it’s breathtakingly accurate; she looked the spitting image (of Diana), and it’s kind of extraordinary. So that’s kind of spooky.”
The official release date is yet to be confirmed but O’Connor stated, “I’m looking forward to finishing that and then getting to share it sometime in 2020, I guess.”
