The Conjuring 3 Updates: Hers is some good news for horror movie fanatics. The infamous horror movie series The Conjuring is preparing to release the third movie. The conjuring is an American supernatural horror film, which was later followed by sequels.
It is directed by James Wan and penned by Chad Hayes. All these movies are categorized under The Conjuring Universe franchise. The Conjuring Universe consists of three different movie series, namely, The Conjuring, The Annabelle, and The Nun. This franchise is officially distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It’s a known fact that this movie series is based on real-life experiences.
Release date: When can we expect from The Conjuring 3?
Conjuring 3 was confirmed by New Line Cinema in June 2017, but they didn’t confirm a release date.
Fans around the world had to wait until September 2018 for an update on the third movie, as producer Peter Safran revealed that they’re “pretty confident” that filming will start on The Conjuring 3 in 2019.
That suggested a 2020 release date and so it proved as Warner Bros has confirmed that the threequel will be out on September 11, 2020. Work began on the threequel on June 3, 2019.
Plot: What will it be about?
Bloody Disgusting had reported that the threequel will be about a man on trial for murder who claims he was possessed by a demon which, if accurate, could point to the movie taking inspiration from the “devil made me do it” trial from 1981.
This appeared to be confirmed by James Wan in December 2018 as he told Bloody Disgusting: “It’s this guy who was on trial for committing a murder. I think it’s the first time in America’s history where the defendant used possessions as a reason, as an excuse.”
Now we know this is to be true. The next film in the series will be called The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.
As we know, the official plot synopsis reads: “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most bone chilling cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they would have ever seen before, to mark the first time in US history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defence.”
The cast members include Ruairi O’Connor as Arne Cheyenne Johnson, Patrick Wilson as Ed Warren, Vera Farmiga as Lorraine Warren Sarah Catherine Hook as Debbie Glatzel.
