The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 4 and Riverdale will there be a Crossover? And What We Know so Far

Netflix’s official Instagram handle for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina show posted a picture of actress Kiran Shipka showing CW’s Riverdale standing between two actors, perhaps provoking a crossover episode.

Although both tv shows are on different networks, both are based on characters that originally appeared on the books of Archie Comics.

The Speculation:

The character of Sabrina Spellman was first introduced in 1962 by Archie’s Mad House through writer George Gladir and artist Dan DeCarlo.

The relationship between Sabrina and Riverdale has been stirred since the first season of Riverdale, when the presence of Sabrina’s hometown, Grendel, was named when Jason Blossom attempted to fake his death.

Greendale has stated again when Archie and her best friend Jughead go there for the drug trade.

In the third season, Sabrina and her cousin Ambrose Spellman went to Riverdale in quest of ancient artifacts.

Riverdale’s Pop Choke lighting parts were also identified in the third season of Sabrina, as curious viewers saw a Southside snake jacket in one of Aunt Hilda’s unfortunate victims.

Sabrina’s Instagram account sparked more fuel to the fire after posting a picture of Shipka hidden with actors KJ Apa and Casey Cott along with Archer Andrews and Kevin Keller of Riverdale.

The attire seems to have neither Apa nor Cott, but Shipka dresses directly like Sabrina.

Before growing too excited, it should be noted that this picture was taken in 2018 as the actor is seen donning the same clothes posted on Shipka’s personal Instagram.

Release Date

Riverdale is currently in the middle of its fourth season and is set to return on February 26, 2020, with six episodes.

 The Plot so far:

The harsh revelation at the end of episode 13 confirms that Jughead was murdered by his girlfriend Betty. Riverdale does not state anything about Jughead’s return, perhaps with a fact that his death was fake.

Roberto Aguirre-Saikasa, an executive producer for both the shows may perhaps set a crossover.

The comic book written by Aguirre-Saikasa, states that in the afterlife with Archie, Jughead travels to Grendel after his pet dog is killed, and urges Sabrina to bring him back through the magic.

Sabrina does her in the usual way, but some unexpected and scary consequences result in the dog is brought back as a zombie, attacking Jughead and starting an undead apocalypse.

Perhaps, on television, Archie and the Riverdale group take Jugendale to Grendel and request Sabrina to bring him back, which may cause a similar outcome?

So, there is a lot to happen in Riverdale and we will see how they react to the supernatural confusion in Greendale.
