The Batman is the latest movie to shut down production over the coronavirus. It is obvious for the production team to shut down all production for the safety of their crew members.
Following the news that actor Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson attracted the coronavirus during the Elvin Presley shoot in Australia, Warner Bros has decided to halt the production on The Batman for at least two weeks.

The film’s crew was shooting on a ground stage in London since Jan and was planning to change the location to Liverpool. Warner Bros thought that it was best to go on hiatus during the location change.

It is still unknown that when the shooting was going to end and if it will impact the releasing date at this time. As for the other two Warner Bros films, Matrix 4 and King Richard starring Will Smith, both have been put on hiatus as of yet. The Matrix is shooting in Berlin, but in a soundstage where all kinds of safety measures are being taken, while King Richard’s shoot has already had to rearrange due to bad weather in Los Angeles, which is expected to continue for the next few days. What will happen when the weather clears up is still unknown at this time.

The Batman movie joined a long list of Hollywood films currently in production that has been put on temporary hold due to corona pandemic. Well, let us hope the best for the entire team and wish that the production starts as soon as possible when everything gets settled down.
