A BBC One period drama series, Taboo, was set in 1814. Writers of the show are Steven Knight, Tom Hardy, and Chips Hardy.
It is an eight-part series. The series is about James Dalaney returning to England after spending twelve years in Africa. He has fourteen stolen diamonds.
By the time he is back, his father is dead, and the war with the United States has nearly ended.
The cast of Taboo has Tom Hardy as James Keziah Delaney, Leo Bill playing Benjamin Wilton, Jessie Buckley playing Lorna Daleny, Oona Chaplin as Zilpha Geary, Mark Gatiss playing Prince George, Stephen Graham playing Atticus, Jefferson Hall playing Thorne Geary, David Hayman playing Brace, Edward Hogg playing Michael Godfrey, Michael Kelly playing Edgar Dumbarton, Jonathan Pryce playing Sir Stuart Strange, Jason Watkins in the role of Solomon Coop, and Nicholas Woodsen playing Robert Thuot.
Further two series are in the talk, and we might get one soon.
Steven Knight said that the first six episodes are written, and two more are under work. He said that the series had a hiatus because his wife had a baby.
In season 2, James Dabney and company are heading to meet USA intelligence Officer Colonnade. The meeting will take place in the west of Ponta Delgada within Acores. We can expect them to continue to the shores of America. James might also explore his mother’s yank heritage.
What else can be expected? Fundamental behind James’ tattoos. His clash with East Indie Company. Mark Gatiss’ character as the Regent.
Fans can expect Tom Hardy to be, definitely, back for the second season.
It is unclear if his co-actors might make a comeback or not. Lorna Bucket, played by Jessie Buckley and Cholmondeley, played by Tom Hollander, was severely injured in the battle with redcoats.
Atticus played by Stephen Graham, Michael Godfrey, played by Edward Hogg, Mark Gatiss’ character Prince George, Jefferson Hall’s Throne, died in the first season.
