State of Decay 2 first fell in May 2018, but it is finally coming to Steam next year. According to Twitter user Lashman, the Steam page for the State of Decay 2 is now live, although the listing provides a date for 1 April 2022.
The “About this game” section reads, “Undead Labs is proud to present our best vision of the zombie apocalypse, coming to Steam in early 2020. Keep waiting, and this page’s Don’t forget to follow, as there are some wild surprises in the coming months. This is an apocalypse you won’t want to miss. “Therefore, its release date and its duration for April Fool’s Day and next Ignore Earlier this year, Bank of decay 2 for quite some time.
Kingdom of Decay 2 is an open-world zombie survival game focused on community building, resource management, and survival methods. It is also a direct sequel to the 2013 State of Decay. Due to the game’s mechanics, no two communities are the same, and each community has its own set of zombie apocalypse skills.
Oddly enough, that there is no mention of any of the DLC included in the Steam version, and the state of Dacey 2 certainly has plenty of it, including a Daybreak DLC pack that adds an entirely new game mode. However, we know that the game will support crossplay between Xbox One and Steam.

The first state of Dex was launched as an Xbox / Windows exclusive in 2013, but was (and still is) sold on Steam. Microsoft acquired Under Labs last year shortly after the launch of the State of Day 2 in May 2018.
In May, Xbox chief Phil Spencer said Microsoft had plans to expand its offerings on digital storefronts after the announcement in March that Halo: The Master Chief Collection would launch on Steam as well as the Microsoft Store. Gears 5 launched at both storefronts in early September.
