Star Trek Discovery Season 3 Release Date, Plot, Cast and Latest Updates

All you need to Star Trek: Discovery Season 3

Star Trek: Discovery is an American web television series created for CBS All Access by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman. Launched in 2017, it is the first scripted series developed specifically for that service.

Star Trek: Discovery begins roughly a decade before the events of the original Star Trek, and follows the crew of the USS Discovery on various adventures.

Thus the third season of Star Trek: Discovery follows the crew USS Discovery as they travel to the future over 900 years.

The season is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment with Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise serving as showrunners.

Needless to say, the season 2 finale shook things up in an unprecedented way. Thus season 3 is anticipated to explore an entirely new region of the star Trek timeline, absolutely unbound by the restrictions of existing Canon.

While that means that fan’s favorite characters like Captain Christopher Pike, Lieutenant Spock, and Ash Tyler haven’t been left behind in the discovery, thus the timeshift amounts to an exciting reboot.

The first-star trek trailer offered a few clues about what to expect – and how different life for Burnham, Saru and the rest of the crew is going to be all about them being transported 930 years into the future.

However, we can’t help but wonder whether the United Federation of Planets remains a functioning organization this far into the universe’s trek future.

The cast of Star Trek: Discovery season 3:

The cast of the series stars Ash Tyler, Klingon High Council leader L’Rell, Captain Christopher Pike, Lieutenant Spock, Number one, Sarek, Amanda Grayson, and even occasional thorn -in-side Harry Mudd all left behind in the 23rd Century, actors Shazid Latif, Mary Chieffo, Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, Rebecca Rominji, James Frain, Mia Kirshner, and Rainn Wilson.

The release date of the series:

Even though no release date has been confirmed by CBS All Access, needless to say, it is highly anticipated that the series will be out in mid-2020.
