Sony Production Says That Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales for PS5 will be a standalone game.
Sony has confirmed the new game will be the first to star Miles Morales, a mixed-race Spiderman from the comic series. Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales will be a standalone game, following some confusion among the fans after the title was announced Thursday at the company’s PlayStation 5 game announcement event.
The game will be launching alongside Sony’s PS5 when it lands on store shelves this fall. The latest device, a followup of 2013’s Playstation 4, is promising more visuals and also faster gameplay.
It will also be launching around the same time as Microsoft’s new Xbox series X, itself a followup to 2013’s Xbox One. Both the companies say these new consoles represent a new generation for video games, highlighted by ever more intricate worlds for players and deeper stories for the fans.
Sony has also so far announced more than two dozen titles for its PS5, including Spiderman, which is a followup to the 2018’s action-adventure Marvel’s Spiderman.
The company has also announced a sequel to its popular futuristic role-playing game Horizon: Zero Dawn from the year 2017. Both the games were critically acclaimed.
But now, following the announcement of the Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales at the beginning of Sony’s Presentation Thursday, some of the fans expressed their concern that the title would not be a full-fledged new game.
Instead, they worried it would amount to an extra story packed on, at potentially extra cost, to the original Marvel’s Spiderman game that was released two years ago.
While some of the Sony executives were unclear about the game’s status in the interviews following the event, Playstation CEO Jim Ryan told CNET that the game would be a worthy followup.
Well, this is it, guys. We hope that you are doing well during this quarantine. We wish the best for you and your family. Till then stay tuned for more updates.
