Family who had a child this year will be eligible for a stimulus check of up to $1,400 in 2022, which is comparable to the third round, which was issued in March.

When they file their taxes for 2021, new parents who notify the IRS that they have a baby, or even more than one, will be eligible for the stimulus payment for those children.

Single parent families earning up to $75,000 per year and couples earning up to $150,000 per year are eligible for the entire check.

While not everyone will receive a fourth stimulus payment, some states have already begun to distribute funds.

The payments are currently being organized by states such as California and Connecticut, as well as a few others. Across the country, states are giving residents another check to help their community by sending money, unemployment benefits, and/or tax credit breaks.

Each state now has its own program to benefit its residents, with local governments determining who is eligible for a fourth stimulus check and how much they will receive. Eligible residents of Los Angeles and Chicago will also receive funds in 2022. BIG:LEAP, Los Angeles’ Basic Income Guaranteed program, is currently accepting applications.
