This weekend, Eddie Murphy returns to Saturday Night Live Because of its host, in one of the most hotly anticipated episodes of This year.
The midseason finale premieres at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC, and there are a couple of tactics to tune in if you want to see it live.
Murphy was a cast member on SNL for so several decades and was among its most beloved stars. His return to the point is a big deal to fans both new and older.
There’s not any doubt that many lapsed SNL viewers will probably be tuning in this week to see the way he can.
SNL airs live at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC, and simulcasts across the country.
It can be seen with an HDTV antenna — a digital antenna that can be wired to a modern TV or with a cable subscription.
These are growing in popularity, especially when coupled with devices such as a similar device or the Amazon Fire TV Recast.
With this, you could record the SNL broadcast and see it on Sunday morning, without waiting up all night.
Meanwhile, for cord-cutters, there are strategies to stream SNL as well. You can see the streaming program, which is available on many HDMI devices, game consoles or mobile apparatus or the show on the NBC website.
These apps generally require a valid cable login for live screening, though they run free trials, so it might be well worth checking if you only wish to see this weekend’s show.
There are TV bundles that can get you access to NBC and other TV online without a cable package.
A number of the most popular options include Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, YouTube TV, and Vudu, to name a few.
All these are far cheaper than cable — generally around $50 or less — but get you the networks and a few stations too.
Some TV packs have free trials available also, so you can start a trial as long as you remember to cancel it before getting billed if you’re not ready to undertake such a bill at the moment.
You may even find that it’s worth it if you like watching award displays sports or other broadcasts.
Beyond that, many folks will most likely be seeing Eddie Murphy’s new SNL on Sunday, Monday or later in the week.
The series is much simpler to catch after the fact. By Sunday morning, NBC will have uploaded most of the clips and distributed them on Twitter.
If you’d like the broadcast in full, you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer for this to strike at Hulu. SNL generally becomes accessible there by lunchtime on Sunday.
It will be about the NBC app.
But you watch it, this week’s SNL claims to be a big one.
Murphy has hosted the show twice before — once while he was in the cast, and after a couple of months after he left it, but that will be his first time participating in the show since 1984. He’s joined by musical guest Lizzo.
