Sex Education is a 2019 comedy series on Netflix. The socially awkward high school student named Otis may not have much experience in the lovemaking department, but he gets good guidance on the topic in his sex-ed course — living with mom Jean, who is a sex therapist. Almost 96 percent of the viewers have liked the show until now. The show has got two seasons in its name and the third one is on the way to be released soon in Netflix. The first episode got its release on 11th January 2019.
The cast or the stars of the show had shot an alternate ending for the second season. As we all know that the show had debuted just last year and it has become one of the most streaming shows for the year. In the winding moments of the second season, Otis seeks out Maeve in the hopes of finally getting together. However, in the case of the bad timing, he arrives at the campsite minutes after Maeve left. Instead of waiting for her he reached out to Isaac and had asked him to tell Maeve that he had come by and to check her voice messages. The second season ended with a shot of Otis and Maeve walking opposite directions and both of them smiling.
What does the second season mean for them?
Ending Sex Education season 2 with a cliffhanger reminiscent of season 1’s finale may be annoying to some. Using this alternate ending would’ve presumably drawn more ire from the audience, who’s already frustrated that Otis and Maeve continue to miss each other as this gives the false hope coming into season 3.
Who knows what the third season will finally bring Otis and Maeve together. We hope that they get together in the third season.
Let us wish the best for the entire team.
