The viewers of Rick and Morty are eagerly awaiting the return of the interdimensional show after it went on hiatus following the first five episodes of the fourth season. Now, as the fans are looking for some clues as to when it will begin airing once again, it looks like HBO have dropped a huge clue about its return.
There are no official announcements yet, but the fans have someway spotted what looks like a release date dropped by HBO Max on their Instagram page. The corporate account had posted three Rick and Morty images in quick successions, each of which created a three-panel wide snapshot of the show.
Each of the images posted had a caption which, when combined read: here for the wholesome grandfather-grandson dynamic. Here for zany characters. Here for the multiverse.
The first image featured Morty and his despair of being sucked into a wormhole, and Rick looked slightly different. He looked positively giddy about being sent through another wormhole-keeping with his character from the show.
When it comes to the third image, however, it seemed to announce the supposed return month of the show. Now, this sent the viewers into a frenzy as it looked like a soft confirmation of when the show would be returning.
This could certainly be the date, some of the fans were a little shocked at how far away it is still. With a fan agreeing that HBO Max launches the show in May. Speaking to Collider, Spencer confessed: “One-word lines are always harder for me. One word or one little phrase is always more difficult.
Well, some other fans think that it will take much more time than that.
It is just a matter of time. Well, then let us hope that they do not keep the fans waiting for too long.
