Now, with the coronavirus outbreak, the next half of this season was pushed back.
Audiences have not been too pleased with the circumstances they have been given, with season four’s end indefinitely placed on hiatus.
And to make things even more confusing than a trailer for a brand-new show from Justin Roiland’s mind was published.
The show – titled Solar Opposites – is expected to premiere on May 8 on Hulu.
The series comes with a family of aliens who has proceeded to Earth.
But because of this premiering series, fans have begun questioning Morty and Rick isn’t on its way to screens.
One fan suggested Solar Opposites’ arrival has postponed Morty and Rick unintentionally.
Replying to the show’s preview, 1 fan wrote: “Guess that explains the delay in Rick and Morty.”
However, Rick and Morty enthusiast OwlKnead and Reddit consumer recently posted in defense of the series’s delay.
They wrote: “Everybody’s whining about Solar Opposites.
“A lot of people are posting about this series, saying it is what caused the flaws on R&M, and also how it’s a waste of time. It perplexes me.”
Despite those complaints, the fan went on to point out Rick and Morty season four was assumed to take some time.
They moved on: “There is an infinite number of statements from 2018 speaking about how Season 4 was taking time due to contract negotiations.
“Between every season, the creators had no clue whether they would be renewed and still have worked so that they took on additional jobs for a paycheck.”
Unfortunately, because of the outbreak of this coronavirus pandemic, Rick and Morty will undoubtedly be delayed.
Thankfully, fans have been occupying themselves with notions surrounding the deeper lore of both Rick and Morty.
