The former Star trek actor Rene is dead at the age of 79.

Rene Auberjonois who also starred in “Benson” Star Trek and several other hit and good shows over the decades have dies lately.


The veteran TV, movie and the voice actor passed away this Sunday at his own LA based home after he was battling with a lung cancer, this was said and also confirmed according to his own son.

He is best known as Clayton Endicott III on the movie named “Benson” the snobbish chief to staff to governor Eugene X Gatling in the hit 80’s sitcom which itself was a total spinoff of Soap.

The dead actor played the role for six seasons continuously, he acted in one hundred and thirty five episodes through the year 1986.

In the late 90’s the actor went on to play Odo on Deep Space Nine opposite Avery Books which he starred in all the one hundred and seventy three episodes.

His TV career was even more prolific beyond that though Auberjonois had supporting roles in the hit movies like “Net Playhouse”, “Matlock”, Madam Secretary” and many more which he acted and he was seen in.

As far as his movies are concerned, the actor might be best remembered as Father John Mulcahy in M.A.S.H and also for voicing chef Louis in “the Little mermaid”.

The actor also acted in plenty of others too like Police Academy the King Kong and many more.

The guy might have been busier and even on voice actor, having lent his talents to animated series like “Johnny Quest”, “Pound Puppies”, then one very famous one “Justice League”, “Scooby Doo” and many others too.

Auberjonois is survived by his good caring wife named Judith and he has two children and three grandchildren. The actor was seventy nine years old when he took his last breath.
