Ragnarok Season 2

Ragnarok Season 2 Updates: Ragnarok is a Norwegian drama focusing on another angle of the Norse mythology. Set in a town called Edda, the inhabitants of the town aren’t what they seem to be.

The series is filmed in Amsterdam, follows them as they navigate an ever-changing world from warm winters to aggressive rains,  heading for a Ragnarok unless that can be stopped.

It’s great news that Netflix has renewed its Thor-some series Ragnarok for a second run. When the fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) were waiting for Thor: Love and Thunder, this series of the giant streaming platform came as a surprise package.

Netflix has taken its unique take on Norse mythology in its original series Ragnarok. The show also has the God of Thunder as its central character. But, in it, he doesn’t have the impressive physique of Chris Hemsworth as an adult. Instead, the show talks about a teenage boy who doesn’t even know that he is a deity.

Ragnarok Season 2: Release date

As we know, the first season has taken a lot of work and time to develop through SAM production. So maybe the same could be expected from the second season.

It is expected to release a total of six episodes in 2021, equivalent to the previous season. However, the premiere might face a delay due to the current condition around the world because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ragnarok Season 2 Plot: What will happen next?

The end of the first season of Ragnarok featured an epic fight between Thor Magne and Vidar. During the battle, a time had come up when it looked like our beloved hero would lose the fight. But, Magne called down lightning. It resulted in finishing the battle. Perhaps, Vidar also died with it.

The second season should pick up right from where it ended in the first one. We expect that in the upcoming chapters Magne will face the remaining giants. And, in the process, he will develop his celestial heritage further. There have been some hints that suggest his brother Laurits is actually Loki.
