Netflix has renewed Queer Eye for a sixth season before its season 5 premiere. Fans can be sure that Jonathan, and Antoni, Karamo Bobby will soon be returning more for a different period of the 2000s hit series of the name. The Netflix reboot of the Emmy Award-winning series has been initially released in 2018 and grew wildly popular with lovers of the new and original Fab Five.
As fans patiently await the global debut of season 5 this summer, Variety confirms Queer Eye was picked up for its sixth season with Netflix. Together with the upcoming season taking place in Philadelphia and previous seasons of Queer Eye in locations like Georgia and Missouri, the Fab Five will probably be heading south to Austin, TX for the season. There, they will”scour the prairie at a hunt for a whole new roster of heroes needing a little TLC. ”
In Texas, the Fab Five will reconnect with their southern roots as Antoni (Food & Wine), Karamo (Culture), Tan (Fashion), Bobby (Interior Design), and Jonathan (Grooming) head to the Lone Star State to continue affecting lives. The Netflix reboot, unlike the first Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, stands out by providing life-changing transformations to people of all genders and identities, catering to a far wider and more varied audience.
Queer Eye is executive produced by David Collins, Michael Williams, and Rob Eric to get Scout Productions. Jennifer Lane is the showrunner and executive producer. Mark Bracero, Adam Sher, David Eilenberg, Jordana Hochman, and David George are executive producers for ITV Entertainment.
