It is estimated that a total of 1.15 million payments with a sum of $857 million will be given in this current cycle of payments, according to the California Franchise Tax Board.

When anticipating a payment, officials caution that direct deposits may take several days to show in bank accounts and that receiving a cheque in the mail after it has been sent might take up to three weeks.

By November 19, the vast majority of people whose residences are in a ZIP code in Kern County should have received their payout.

We inquired as to what people intended to do with their stimulus check:

What are you going to do with your stimulus check when it arrives?

Are you planning to keep it in your savings?

Is there any other way you plan to use your GOlden Stimulus Check payment?

These were the answers from few of our respondents:

“BILLS, BILLS, BILLS.”

“Use it towards Christmas for my boys.”

JESSICA KETCHERSIDE, INSTAGRAM USER

“I have enough to get by so I’m going to give the money to someone less fortunate than me.”

DAVID JOHNSON, FACEBOOK USER

“Watch other people get theirs.” JASON WOODS, FACEBOOK USER

Based on the results, it seems that Californians already have plans in mind as to how they will spend their stimulus check when it arrives.
