Penny Dreadful: City of Angels Reveals First Look at Natalie Dormer


Former Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer has arrived in the City of Angels. The Penny Dreadful spinoff series, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, saw Dormer for the first time in the series (via Entertainment Weekly). Dormer plays the role of a demon named Magda in the series. Producer John Logan tells EW that Magda is the character who “makes it Penny Dreadful.”

She plays in one of the major themes of the show, “demonization of the other.” You can see two pictures of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels in the Cities. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels start this production in August. It is expected to debut in 2020.


City of Angels

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is the spiritual sequel to Penny Dreadful. Where Penny Dreadful was founded in Victorian London, it was founded in 1938 in Los Angeles City of Angeles during a time filled with political and social tensions.
