Paramount’s Transformer 7: Here’s every latest update

Transformers 7 - Cast

It’s official, Paramount is pulling the plug on Transformers 7. The studio has dropped the so-called Transformers 7 (seemingly, Bumblebee is considered”Transformers 6″) in their release date program. The film was slated to arrive in theaters on June 28, 2019. Bumblebee, the spinoff film helmed by LAIKA boss and Kubo along with the Two Strings manager Travis Knight, is still scheduled for December 21, 2018.

Back in February, we noted that the Transformers franchise may be directed toward a reboot following Bumblebee, following Hasbro’s investor trailer to the 2018 New York Toy Fair did not incorporate any live-action Transformers sequels on the upcoming Hasbro-Paramount movie slate. The news isn’t especially surprising after The Last Knight, which fizzled out at the national box office. The movie fared better abroad, but the last sum tallied”only” $605.4, an impressive amount no doubt, but a long fall in the billion-plus times Dark Side of the Moon and Age of Extinction.

For his role, long-time manager Michael Bay, who helmed the first five films in the Transformers franchise made no bones about the fact that he was done directing Transformers movie during the Last Knight press tour. We have heard that one before (a lot), but this announcement came with a full-scale letter of excuse and subsequent confirmation during interviews. Next up, Bay is led to Netflix, where he will direct Ryan Reynolds in the action film Six Underground.

For those actively looking for more content, not to worry. Paramount and Hasbro have a lot of different team-ups on the docket. Late last year, the studio set launch dates to get G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Dungeons & Dragons, and another yet-to-be-titled collaboration.

Paramount’s Tiffany Haddish comedy Limited Partners will open on June 28, 2019. The Taron Egerton-led Elton John musical biopic Rocketman was additionally given a release date and will now land in theaters on May 17, 2019, putting it up from Lionsgate’s fan-favorite activity franchise John Wick 3. Also, the studio has awakened their Stephen King adaptation Pet Sematary fourteen days to April 5, 2019.
