With two episodes sequentially on HBO, SUNDAY, JANUARY 12, 2020, the 10-episode series follows police detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn), As he sets.

To investigate the severed body of 11-year-old Frankie Peterson, found in a Georgia forest.

The mysterious circumstances surrounding this horrific crime carry Ralph forward, yet grieving the recent death of his own son, prompting him to bring unconventional private investigator Holly Gibney (Cynthia Arrivo), whose Supernatural abilities can be expected to help explain the unexpected.

The cast includes Ralph Anderson as Emmy®- and Golden Globe-nominee Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline, Ready Player One); Tony Award winner Cynthia Arrivo (“The Color Purple”) as Holly Gibney; Bill Camp as Howie Salomon (Emmy®-Nominee, The Night of); Mare Winningham (Oscar®-nominated, Georgia) as Ralph’s wife, Jenny Anderson; Paddy Considine (HBO’s upcoming The Third Day) as Claude Stretton, manager of a local strip club; Julian Nicholson (HBO’s forthcoming Ghost of Easttown) as Glory Maitland; Yale Vazquez (Divorce) as Georgia Bureau of Investigation Detective Eunice Sabalo; Jeremy Bob (The Nikki) as Alec Pele, hired by Howie, a private investigator; And Mark Menchaca (The Sinner) as detective Jack Hoskins.

In episodes 101 and 102 as Terry Maitland with Emmy®- and Golden Globe winner Jason Bateman (Ozark, Arrested Development).

OUTSIDER is produced by Mendelsohn and executive producer Bateman (who also directs the first two episodes).

The series is written for television by Richard Price (The Wire, The Night), who also serves as executive producer. Executive producers include Andrew Bernstein, Marty Bowen for Temple Hill Entertainment, Jack Bender, Michael Costigan for Aggregate Films, and Dennis Lehane (episodes 105–110).

The series is produced by Bateman’s Aggregate Films and Temple Hill Entertainment in collaboration with Civic Center Media.
