Although Andrzej Sapkowski has had a really weird relationship with CDPR, he sold it to be created Witcher and now he appears to truly welcome the Lauren S. Hissirch Netflix adjustment of his books, with explicit commendation saved for Henry Cavill.
“I was more than happy with Henry Cavill’s appearance as The Witcher,” Sapkowski told People. “He’s a real professional. Just as Viggo Mortensen gave his face to Aragorn [in The Lord of the Rings], so Henry gave his to Geralt — and it shall be forever so.”

Cavill will stand out forever up ’til now another of those odd throwing decisions that wound up being immaculate at last. From the start, it appeared as though he was too A-rundown, too beautiful to even consider being the grizzled Geralt, but then practically speaking, everybody appears to adore him in the job. Chances are that if you like the show, Cavill’s Geralt is presumably one of the fundamental reasons why. Even if there are some negative reviews about the show, Cavill gets his due when people claim even he couldn’t save the show.
It’s a truly high honor for Sapkowski to give his inside and out a gift to Cavill as the eternal face of Geralt, much the same as Aragorn as the forever face for Viggo Mortensen(however Tolkein had already passed away for any analysis when LOTR was made). After seeing the show, it’s difficult to envision how Cavill wouldn’t fulfill Sapkowski, as shy of being Alan Moore and despising anything anybody does with your IP, there would only be rare occasions and only a few things when one could get a chance to complain about Geralt’s performance in The Witcher.
The witcher is a hit on Netflix and one of the highest-rated shows by IMBD. It’s not going to be as big as Game of Thrones but its success is huge.
