Earlier today, Netflix Introduced an impressive slate That has movies and TV series from some of the industry’s best talent for upcoming animated projects.

Together with the newly revealed names and names were other previously declared pictures, namely two projects we’ve been talking about for years: Guillermo del Toro’s lifelong enthusiasm job Pinocchio, and Henry Selick’s triumphant return into the manager’s chair after almost a decade in Wendell & Wild.

Both those stop-motion animated films — a first for del Toro and familiar territory for Selick –landed a 2021 release date from Netflix putting a good endpoint about the long-gestating productions at long last.

PINOCCHIO (2021) is that the animated moving-picture show directorial debut of Academy triumph movie maker Guillermo del Toro (The form of Water). Pinocchio is Produce as a musical.

WENDELL & WILD (2021) is AN animated moving-picture show from writer/director Henry Selick (Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline) and Author Jordan Peele (Key & Peele, Get Out) with Monkeypaw Productions.

Two demon brothers (voiced by Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele) escape the Underworld and locate themselves in a town where they have to evade a demon-duster teenager, Kat, who is trying to ruin them. Peele is also producing through his Monkeypaw firm along with Selick and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein in the Gotham Group.
