Horror web television series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, is developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for Netflix.
The series is based on the book series with the same name as Archie. Warner Bro. Television is the producer of the series. Berlanti Productions and Archie Comics are also the producers.
Sabrina Spellman, the teenage witch, has to deal with her half-human, half-witch life. She fights the evil forces that threaten her, her family, and her friends.
The series was to be a companion of Riverdale. But when it moved to Netflix, the two series became separate entities. The team said that it would be fun to figure out a way to crossover the two series.
Aguirre-Sacasa does not want a crossover between the two. He says that the series is well-established independently. A crossover may be done in a standalone film. In this film, characters of Riverdale hear about a haunted house in Greendale and decide to break in. The house will be the Spellman house.
Season one came out in October 2018, where we saw Sabrina sign the book of the Dark Lord’s book. By signing the book, she gives her soul to the Dark Lord and has to everything that he asks her to do.
The second season was released in April 2019. Netflix has renewed the series for sixteen more episodes, which will be released in two seasons. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was renewed for season four in December 2019.
The production for season three and four are going on simultaneously in Vancouver.
In the last season, Sabrina met the Dark Lord.
He entraps Nick, who is Sabrina’s boyfriend. Sabrina has to help Nick and free him from the dark lord. The series will build-up to this in the coming seasons.
The cast for the upcoming season will include Kieran Shipka as Sabrina, Gavin, as Nick, Lachlan, as Theo. The cast further includes Michelle Gomez, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Chance Perdomo, and others. Miranda Otto will play Zelda.
