Narcos Mexico season two is all about the downfall of the drug cartel leader Felix Gallardo. We saw that he loses his grip on his drug empire. One of the major characters in the second outing was Hector Palma who has been seen to develop his partnership with Joaquin El Chapo.
Hector Luis Palma Salazar played a very big role in their second season of Narcos Mexico. Across the outing, he and El Chapo’s partnership grew as they built some tunnels under the border and then they expanded their powers. However, things began to turn in the series for him after he fell out of the favor of Gallardo who ordered his death.
He then escaped along with his wife Guadalupe and also with his children, all of them went into hiding. Then under the orders of Gallardo, he sent Enrique Clavel to kill her and his children as well. in the series, he does this by shooting Guadalupe dead before he even came to meet Gallardo.
However, we also saw that in one of the final scenes of the show, Palma is seen to brutally killed him. Palma was also the part of the federation who pulled out of Gallardo’s leadership, which also resulted in his arrest. The character was based on a real-life figure but what happened.
Palma was born in Sinaloa, Mexico in the mid-1940s when he began working with Gallardo. He also rose the ranks of the Guadalajara Cartel before splintering off to his work with Clavel on their cartel.
Then we saw that he was arrested for the very first time in 1978 in Arizona for some drug trafficking and he then spent eight years in jail. When at last he was released, he learned his wife had left him for Clavel.
However, after this Clavel forced her to withdraw seven million dollars, he decapitated her and killed her children as well. Clavel then went to work for Gallardo so Plasma executed Gallardo’s lawyer and Clavel’s three children in response.
Then we saw that Palma is returning to trafficking alongside EL Chapo and also Adrian Gomez for several years.
