The series Narcos: Mexico season 2 will be released in its entirety on Thursday 13th February 2020.
The date of the season launch is announced by Netflix. Netflix provided a short teaser along with the date announcement.
The teaser features lead actor Diego Luna (Rogue One) turning towards the camera, while he speaks in a menacing voice-over.
Way back to season one of Narcos: Mexico
The series is about the formulation of the modern Mexican drug trade. It focuses on real-life narco Felix Gallardo, a former Sinaloan police officer turned drug lord, and Kiki Camarena, a Mexican-American DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) agent tasked with taking Felix down.
The season followed the two men’s putting through the wringer. This fight of rat and cat ended in the abduction, torture, and murder of Kiki, whose death ultimately catalyzed the war on drugs.
The show’s previous series was set in Columbia. It focused on the drug cartel run by Pablo Escobar.
Who will star in Narcos: Mexico season 2?
Again well-known faces of the industry will be the part of Narcos: Mexico.
Actor Diego Luna joins the series as Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, the leader of the Guadalajara cartel. Along with him, Ant-Man and the Wasp star Michael Peña will be on screen, who plays Kiki Camarena, a family man, an undercover DEA agent.
José María Yazpik will also be reprising his role as Amado Carrillo Fuentes.
