More on Monday’s Disbursement of California’s Stimulus Funds

More on Monday, California Stimulus Money Were Mailed Out.

A total of 800,000 stimulus payments were sent out to California citizens who met the requirements on Monday.

The Golden State Stimulus II (GSS II) funds started to be distributed last week, marking the beginning of the latest round of payouts.

California households will get a second batch of stimulus checks as part of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s $100 billion budget, which was signed into law in July by the governor.

The state wants to provide over $12 billion in coronavirus relief to 15.2 million California families – or nearly two-thirds of the state’s taxpayers – over the next five years as part of the proposal.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said in a statement at the time that the Golden State Stimulus is critical to lifting up those who have been hit the hardest by the pandemic and supporting the state’s economic recovery by putting money directly in the hands of people who will spend it on basic needs and within their local communities.

Approximately $563 million in relief cheques, according to the state, will be sent out by December 17.

The Stimulus Checks Have a Value Ranging From $600 to $1,100 in Total

Direct deposits will be used for further 3,000 payments.

Eligible beneficiaries include current California residents who have resided in the state for more than half of the 2020 tax year, as well as persons with incomes of $75,000 or less in the same year.

Payments will be sent to the address indicated by the last three digits of your ZIP code on your 2020 tax return.
