The Midnight Gospel

Midnight Gospel Season 2 Updates:The Netflix series of Pendleton Ward the Midnight Gospel Season 2 is yet to officially renew for season 2.

What fans can expect?

The Midnight Gospel- mnew

The new animated series is a combination of Duncan Trussell’s podcast and Pendleton Ward’s Adventure Time-styled animation. It is a cosmic story of Clancy Gilroy (Duncan Trussell). He produces his own inter-dimensional “space-cast” on dying planets.

Even with shows such as Big Mouth and Rick and Morty, Ward and Trussell’s series highlights the realities of adulthood. Their use of animation is to provide a visual conversation with the audio at the forefront.

The Midnight Gospel arrives at the opportune time. Each of the eight episodes lasts for 20 minutes.

The show fans want that the show will return for season 2. It is only a matter of time before Netflix announces their plans for the series.

Midnight Gospel Season 2: Release Date

The Midnight Gospel

Netflix has not given any official notification when The Midnight Gospel season 2 will happen. As Trussell and Ward choose to leave the series on a major cliffhanger. The potential to follow-up with Clancy Gilroy for a second season is highly possible. If the series renews, it is likely it will take a year or more to produce.

Season 2: Release Date

If Netflix does decide to order Season 2, it is likely fans will not see it until summer 2021. There is also the possibility that it may be later than expected due to the corona pandemic. Throughout the creation of The Midnight Gospel season 1, he is vocal about the difficulties of perfecting Ward’s animation to convey what his podcast is discussing.

Midnight Gospel Season 2: Storyline

The Midnight Gospel every detail

Season 1 ends with Clancy Gilroy questioning his own existence. He enters a bus in which there are people whom he met on his adventures. He asks them “Am I dead?” Trussell and Ward left the season on the biggest character cliffhanger that forces the audience to question whether or not the space-caster host is dead. Death is essential to The Midnight Gospel’s plot. It is never suspected that the main character would meet his end.

Based on this ending, it is likely that season 2 will throwback on death more than season 1 did. Deep discussions on reincarnation, the afterlife, and more are possible due to how the series creators chose to leave Clancy Gilroy.
