Michael Morbius has longed for a cure for his vampirism. He was born with rare blood disease, Morbius tried to cure himself leading to a living vamp.
In Morbius by Vita Ayala, Marcelo Ferreira, Paulo Siqueira, Roberto Poggi, Dono Sanchez-Almara and VC’s Clayton Cowles, Morbius thought he found a cure that could make him human.
However, the cure has made him more of a dangerous monster. Now he is evolved into a whole new type of a vampire.
Things you need to know about Morbius
In the pages of Morbius #4, his condition rapidly gets less and less human. Elizabeth Nikos, his childhood friend who’s brother dedicated his life to curing Morbius’ only to be the first victim of his blood lust, tries to take down the vamp, but he only gets stronger and stronger.
Michael Morbius pleads Elizabeth to stop attacking as he warns her that he is about to lose his control. She doesn’t relent, using her crossbow to shoot an arrow directly in Morbius’ chest. Instead of killing him, it just made him angrier.
The show doesn’t lets down Morbius but instead he becomes more stronger than before, his muscles gets bigger and his small wings sprout into giant ones.
Morbius turns his attention to Elizabeth where he tells her she wishes she was strong enough to take him down. It is clear that his bloodlust has increased in the new form.
Now, there’s nothing stopping him from devouring whoever he wants in the name of his bloodlust. Morbius’ greatest fear has come true – he is a monster in every sense of the word.
