The Lucifer star Tom Ellis signs up for a possible season 6 less than a week after the showrunners of the Netflix renewed their contracts.
Tom Ellis who is the star of Lucifer, has signed on for a very possible season 6 of the popular devil drama. Lucifer has kept their fans on the edge as far as their renewals and cancellations throughout their runs.
The series first started on Fox in the year 2016, where it was aired their first three seasons. following their cancellations, Lucifer then moved to Netflix where they have already aired ten episodes season.
The streamer announced that their upcoming fifth season would be their last, but the fans were very quick to express Lucifer beyond season 5.
The expected final season was originally going to be ten episodes, just like their previous season 4. However, Netflix ordered their six additional Lucifer episodes over the summer, bringing the total to around 16. The fans are still mostly in the dark about what the season 5 may like be. However, the series did cats 24 stars Dennis Haysbert as God.
The move is a long time coming, as Lucifer has a direct connection to God, despite never been seen on-screen. The season 4 finale saw that Lucifer is returning to Hell, which was likely a major impact on what happens in the new season 5.
The news of Ellis season 6 deals comes from TVLine. It was then considered to be the last roadblock in the way of Netflix bringing Lucifer back for another season. This is the only logical, as it would not make sense for the streamer to renew the series minus its title character.
The majority of the show’s other actors on board for the new season 6.
The very same is for the showrunners as well, who re-upped their deals last week.
This then means that the whole team will be back for the new Lucifer season six. If Netflix decides for sure that they will be renewing.
