Amazon Prime Video’s hot-anticipated television series Lord of the Rings has welcomed another name for its star-studded cast. The fantasy prequel as a regular character and will feature the likes of Black Mirror’s Will Pauler, Markella Cavenaig, and Joseph Mawle. Emma previously appeared in the psychological horror film.
Like.Share.Follow. Back in 2017, the recent summer sci-fi drama Don’t Look Deeper has been signed. Pre-production is yet to begin, but Lord of the Rings has already renewed for a second season. The streaming service confirmed the above publication that the sequel was in the works and that the show would remain high-tech for nearly four months after filming the first two seasons of the episode, which J.A. Will be directed by Bayona.
The new series will follow a different story to the famous films by Peter Jackson, with Amazon confirming that the prequel is set in another era of the Middle Ages. Several casting announcements were made in recent months, with Game of Thrones actor Joseph Mawle appearing as the villain. Their exciting casting is announced years later by star Maxim Baldry, who according to Collider, will play an important role.
The Revenant actor Will Potter also secured the lead role in the production, with details of his character still firmly wrapped. Amazon confirmed in September that the series would be shot in New Zealand in the original Lord of the Rings trilogy and would then be home to the Hobbes films.
In a statement, listener and executive producers JD Payne and Patrick McKay said: ‘As we explored the place in which we could bring alive the original beauty of the Second Age of Middle-earth, we knew we had royal needs. A must-see is home to world-class sets, studios, and highly skilled and experienced artisans and other staff with pristine beaches, forests, and mountains.
