Jurassic Park could have been one of those franchises relegated into the sphere of perpetual nostalgia — trotted out only for Halloween costumes or flashback lists. Although Steven Spielberg tried many times to receive a reboot off the floor, it had been 12 years ahead of the delayed sequel (also effectively a reboot) started development.
The 2015 reboot, Jurassic World, was well-received by fans and critics. Hence, in 2018 we got Jurassic Planet: Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic Globe: the Fallen Kingdom received mixed reviews but was a huge success at the box-office, taking over $1.3 billion. And so here we are, welcoming the next modern Jurassic World movie — the sixth in the show in general.

Steven Spielberg, the director of the first Jurassic Park film, confirmed Colin Trevorrow, that directed 2015’s first reboot Jurassic World, would return for the next installment (or sixth, depending on where you’re counting from).
The threequel remains untitled so far, and few details are released. The working name of the film has been verified to be Arcadia, which shows absolutely nothing about the contents of the movie.
Arcadia is a call back to the preceding Jurassic World film. The boat that took the dinosaurs from Isla Nublar into Lockwood Manor to be sold at auction was known as Arcadia.
Jurassic World 3 will likely be written by a newcomer to the dino-franchise, Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim: Uprising). Trevorrow called the threequel a”celebration of everything that has existed in the franchise up till today”.
Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming movie.
Jurassic World 3 launch date: When is it out?
Cinemas across the world will soon be welcoming dinosaurs on their screens onto June 11, 2021.
That is in keeping with the June release dates which have proven so effective for the previous two films in the series. There’s a long while to wait, but in the interim, you can see the short film Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock.
Jurassic World 3 throw: Who’s coming back?
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be seen once again as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing respectively, as confirmed by Colin Trevorrow. He’s stated that there are different characters from the Fallen Kingdom who will become”important characters”.
Newcomer to the franchise Isabella Sermon might also return as Maisie Lockwood, the genetically-created offspring of John Hammond’s former spouse Sir Benjamin Lockwood (James Cromwell).
And to finish this trilogy, morally dubious geneticist Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong) could eventually get his comeuppance.
Although he was not at the sequel, Jake Johnson could reprise his much-loved Jurassic World role as Lowery from the threequel.
Trevorrow stated: “It doesn’t mean he will never be back, and I have had conversations with nearly all of the actors heading back into the previous movies about how significant their legacies are to these films, and also how important it is to constantly change and evolve them into something new.”
Of course, most of us want to understand… is Jeff Goldblum back once more as Dr. Ian Malcolm? In Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom, he had limited screen time, leaving Malc fans wanting more.
Yay: all three original stars are verified to be reprising their roles!
Director Colin Trevorrow disclosed why their return awakened. “We had brought back Dr. Henry Wu first because he had been the man behind the science and the only person that made sense. Otherwise, we’d have needed to come up with a reason why Ellie, Malcolm, and Grant all went to the theme park on the same day it broke down — again,” Trevorrow said.
“However, another movie allows the legacy personalities to be part of the story in an organic manner. [Jurassic Planet 3 screenwriter] Emily Carmichael and I predict it Jurassic Park VI since it is.”
Jurassic World 3 plot: This is the ending
We do not know too much about how the threequel will last from Fallen Kingdom’s cliffhanger that saw dinosaurs outside in the world.
Trevorrow has been calling it a “science thriller” and Howard has been talking about how the film will “bring the entire saga collectively”, particularly as it’s been reported that it’s the final movie in the Jurassic World series.
But something which the next movie will not be is that a war film that is dino-vs-human. “Dinosaurs can not organize,” Trevorrow informed Jurassic Outpost.
“Right now we have deadly predators in wild regions surrounding cities all around the world, [but] they don’t go pack searching for humans in urban places. The entire world I get excited about is that the one where a dinosaur might come to an end before your car on a foggy backroad, or invade your adolescent searching for food.”
Chris Pratt has promised fans that they”won’t be disappointed” and teased the film could start after a time leap.
“I can’t believe that we’re going to make that movie, and I can’t think they found a way to deliver on the promise of this conclusion of Jurassic Earth: Fallen Kingdom,” he clarified.
“Like,’ Wait? The island has discounted. The animals are outside, we can not place them back into the box. What exactly are we going to do? How are not only these dinosaurs but this technology?’ We jump and it’s like,’Oh! Oh, right! Oh, damn’. It’s likely to be rather epic”
How will the trio fit into the plot? Trevorrow knows what he won’t do: make them into”caricatures or even parodies of these”.
He included: “They are so legendary, you may easily fall into that trap. You begin by asking the questions: who are these people? What do they make of the new world they are living in, and how do they feel about becoming a part of its history? Finally, it will be in collaboration. They love and know these characters. We’ll do it together.”
Jurassic World 3 trailer: When will we see it?
In case JW3 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, then we won’t get our first glance before December 2020 with another trailer rolling out in April 2021.
Jeff Goldblum revealed filming will begin in the summer of 2020. “Well, I imagine those dinosaur pictures are kind of frightening,” he said. “And we’re gonna do yet another one of these around these parts come this summer”
He added:”[I will ] be here shooting with Laura Dern and Sam O’Neill and Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Directing and colin Trevorrow because the great manager is going to be writing it. And I can not wait.”
