iPhone 12 Pro will likely to come with 6GB RAM and mmWave 5G, production to begin in Feb 2020


Apple’s iPhone 11 series smartphones come with 4GB RAM. Now a new report indicates that it is planning to upgrade the RAM capacity of its iPhone 12 series smartphones to 6GB.

It has been two weeks since Apple started its iPhone 11 series mobiles comprising of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Guru Max that reports on the next-generation iPhone – the iPhone 12 – have already started doing rounds on the internet. A new report suggests that the 12 will come with a greater RAM capacity compared to its predecessor.


Apple doesn’t disclose RAM ability of its iPhones. On the other hand, the teardown of its iPhone 11 series smartphones shows that this year’s iPhones come with 4GB RAM. Currently, a new report by Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis (through MacRumours) indicates that the iPhone 12 Pro along with the iPhone 12 Pro Max will include a higher 6GB RAM, and it will be an important step up in the 2019 iPhones.

The new report also indicates that the two next-generation iPhones will come with a rear-facing 3D sensing camera and also attribute support for mm-Wave “to get higher-performance 5G”. Whether the 2012 iPhones will feature support for 5G technologies that many reports in the past have hinted towards the report didn’t disclose.

As far as this iPhone 11 successor – potentially iPhone 12 – is concerned, Apple is likely to continue offering a RAM capacity of 4GB from the device. It’s predicted to be 5G allowed.

The report besides speaking about the iPhone 12 series smartphones also discussed the iPhone SE 2, which will be expected to succeed the company’s funding iPhone SE. Reports in the past have indicated that the iPhone SE 2 will come with a design that looks like the iPhone 8 using a A13 chip that was quicker.

It is expected to come with a 4.7-inch screen, 3GB RAM and Touch ID instead of the Face ID. Reports also have hinted that the company could launch the device from the first quarter of 2020.

Now, the report by Barclays analyst suggests that Apple will begin the production of this rumoured iPhone SE 2 in February. It is well worth noting that Apple has not confirmed any of these particulars. Thus, we will have to wait for an official note from the company to find out more about both apparatus that are rumoured.
