After a man was discovered dead in his automobile on the side of the North Freeway, authorities have launched an investigation and are seeking any information that will assist them.
Houston police were sent to I-45 north near Main Street on Wednesday night at around 6:30 p.m. Passersby took notice of a car parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights activated.
As soon as the worried motorists pulled over, they saw a guy slumped down and covered in blood inside the vehicle.
The victim, identified as a Black guy between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, had been shot at least once, according to police.
It is currently unclear what led to the shooting.
Because of the crime scene’s location, there were traffic backups, and the northbound lanes of I-45 at I-10 had to be stopped while detectives investigated in the area surrounding the victim’s vehicle, which created delays.
Police do not have any suspects or witnesses at this time, but they are requesting anybody with information to contact the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
