“We have a complete story to tell and whether or not we’re idiots for not giving ourselves a finish this year remains to be seen,” Flahive informed The Hollywood Reporter. “We’ve played with it in this way every year, where we have kind of left it all on the field. This series has a story to tell and a huge cast and a huge heart, and other men and women aren’t going to set that limit for us. Because it would not be fair to that which we are trying to do we can’t do that. We would love to have the opportunity to give the show a satisfying ending.”
