“In the past decade, you’ve directed superhero movies, murder mysteries, international spy flicks – and now Artemis Fowl. What was the draw for you, and were you a fan of the books?”
Here is what Kenneth Branagh replied:-
He said that he is not known to the books. He is only done in the middle of post-production on Disney’s Cinderella. Further, he said that he loves the coming of age story of young women. In that, it is a different kind of empowerment that is inside the story, and you will get to say that this character is the victim.
He loves those fascinating stories. He thinks that about these movies that you are trying to create an entertaining movie and not making a big statement. And I love to describe the character of young women. And here I got to see Artemis Fowl. He said that both the stories look the same in a different way. He also said that his nephews we’re reading that book at the time of filming, they also told him to make a movie.
