While the coronavirus pandemic has thrown a wrench into the show’s schedule, fans can still anticipate to a bright future.
If you’re a Grey’s Anatomy fan, it’s safe to mention you’re not alone—it’s just one of the foremost iconic shows of all time. It is a medical drama mainly covering topics from worst health care to police brutality, it has a huge effect which is incomparable and its stats analysis reflect that. The show has lifetime more than a dozen seasons, 300 episodes, and more main character deaths than fans care to count. Now, the show is wading into unfamiliar territory due to COVID-19.

When does Grey’s Anatomy return?

In May of 2020, the coronavirus pandemic forced season 16 of Grey’s Anatomy to finish prematurely. ABC wrapped production early in March of 2020 due to public health concerns, leaving several episodes unfilmed and unaired.
It is still not clear when will all the remaining episodes of season 16 will air but yeah fans are waiting for season 17. Normally, fans could expect a season drop by September 2020, but there’s no clear timeline because of all filming schedules being halted thanks to the pandemic.

As some theories out there stats that season 17 will have some dropped story sequences connected from season 16 and some major characters of the past can return too but, there’re no official announcements yet on what the upcoming season will be about.
However, within the meantime, fans can always binge the primary 15 full seasons of Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix while they await the show to return back!

WHEN WILL GREY’S ANATOMY SEASON 17 PREMIERE?

There are no clues about the release date as of now but yes from season 2 to 16 every season was been aired on ABC networks. Under normal circumstances, a September 2020 premiere date for Season 17 would be a near certainty, but production schedules have obviously been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Nobody knows how long this global crisis will last, but if productions are still experiencing shutdowns in June, July, or August, the Season 17 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy might be delayed until late 2020/early 2021.
