Giacchino on The Batman movie Score and Eiza Gonzales was up for the role of Catwoman

The production or the filming for the upcoming movie The Batman has been shut down two weeks earlier this month, although that delay will undoubtedly last much longer now that we have to learn how severe the worldwide health crisis is.

The production had been shooting on a sound stage in London since January and was planning to change their locations to Liverpool. It is still unknown if the shutdown will impact the film’s June releasing date.

While the fans wait for further word, The Batman movie composer Michael Giacchino got a chance to talk about what we can expect for the score. Reeves and Giacchino have had worked together on multiple films, beginning with Cloverfield in 2008. They were also seen working together in Dawn of The Planet of The Apes, War For The Planet of The Apes, Let Me In.

Giacchino said that he felt total freedom and his partner Matt Reeves had always agreed that The Batman movie is their vision. He further said he loves to make Batman comics and graphic novels. He thinks that the work is very cool and enjoys doing it.

In related news, Baby Driver, Alita Battle Angel, Hobbs and Shaw, and Bloodshot star Eiza Gonzalez told The Hollywood Reporter that she was up for the role of Catwoman in The Batman movie, a role that eventually went to Zoe Kravitz. Eiza said she even camera-tested for the role and it was impossible not to get her hopes up.

She said that it is very hard and heartbreaking. One has to envision themselves in the role to see the role. One cannot have one foot in and the other foot out. When she had started her career, she was more like that.

Robert Pattinson is leading The Batman cast as Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne.
