Game of Thrones (season 8)
The eighth and last season of this dream play television series Game of Thrones, made by HBO, premiered on April 14, 2019, and concluded on May 19, 2019.
Contrary to the first six months, that consisted of ten episodes each, and also the seventh year, which consisted of seven episodes, the eighth period consists of only six episodes.
The season depicts the culmination of this series’ two Key conflicts: the Great War against the Army of the Dead, and the War for control of the Iron Throne. The first half of this season involves many of the main characters converging at Winterfell with their armies in a bid to conquer the Night King along with his army of White Walkers and wights.
The next half of the season resumes the war to the throne as Daenerys Targaryen assaults King’s Landing in an attempt to unseat Cersei Lannister since the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.
The season was filmed from October 2017 to July 2018 and mostly consists of original content not found in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire collection, while also integrating material that Martin has shown to showrunners about the upcoming books in the show, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
The season was adapted for television by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.
The season received mixed reviews from critics, in contrast to this near-universal praise of previous seasons, and is the lowest-rated of the series on the website Rotten Tomatoes. Although the acting, directing, production, and musical score continued to be highly praised criticism was directed in numerous choices made from the showrunners and runtime of this season, as well as the condensed narrative.
The season received 32 nominations at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, the most for a single period of television in history.
 It won for Outstanding Drama Series and Peter Dinklage won for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
Jon and Daenerys understand the Wall has been breached by the Army of the Dead upon reaching Winterfell using their armies, and the undead Viserion is commanded by the Night King.
Doubt Daenerys and uncertainty Cersei’s pledge to send troops, although their allies and the Northern Homes rally around Winterfell.
Euron returns to King’s Landing with entices Cersei and the Golden Company to consummate their marriage.
On Cersei’s orders, Qyburn hires Bronn to assassinate Tyrion and Jaime. Theon rescues while Theon yields to Winterfell. With Arya and Bran, Jon reunites at Winterfell and afterward learns to ride Rhaegal, throughout which their bond deepens. Sam meets. Sam reveals to Jon that he is Aegon Targaryen.
In the seat of the Last Hearth of House Umber, Beric encounter Edd and Tormund and Night’s Watch members.
They find the castle occupants dead, along with the wight of Ned Umber is abandoned as a gruesome message. Where Bran awaits him, Jaime arrives in Winterfell.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Cersei’s deception is revealed by Jaime to the Targaryen-Stark alliance and joins them after Brienne vouches for his loyalty.
Jaime later apologizes to Bran for crippling himBran replies he harbors no anger and states they are the people. Tyrion loses Daenerys’ trust for having thought Cersei, prompting Jorah to ask her to forgive Tyrion’s mistakes. Citing their love for Jon, Daenerys attempts and fails to acquire Sansa’s trust after refusing to give assurances.
Edd, Tormund, and Beric arrive in Winterfell, together with the three reporting the undead army’s impending arrival.
Bran suggests he lure the Night King, who wishes to destroy the Raven.
Others agree, with Theon and the Ironborn Bran protection that is offering. Gendry is seduced by the area.
Jaime formally anoints Brienne as a knight. Jorah fails to dissuade Lyanna Mormont from fighting, and he receives the ancestral sword for a gift from Sam of House Tarly.
As the Army of the tactics, Jon reveals his Targaryen lineage to Daenerys.
“The Long Night
The Army meets the Army of the Dead Winterfell that is outside.
The initial Dothraki charge is decimated, and the Unsullied are overwhelmed.
Edd is murdered while saving Sam. The natives retreat into the castle as Melisandre ignites the fire trench that is defensive enclosing Winterfell to postpone the advancing horde. Daenerys and Jon participate in the Night King on their dragons.
The wights invade Winterfell, overpowering the defenders and murdering Lyanna Mormont. Beric expires defending Arya. It does not affect, and he burns with Dragonfire although Rhaegal and Jon knock on the Night King off Viserion.
The Night King increases Winterfell defenders, including the dead entombed in the crypt in which the non-combatants are assaulted.
Jorah is hurt after wights pull Daenerys out of Drogon. The Night King kills Theon and arrives in the Godswood for Bran. Arya ambushes stabbing at him.
The Night King and his White Walkers shatter, causing the wights and Viserion to collapse. Her purpose served, Melisandre permits herself to die from old age.
