From Endgame and Joker to Gully Boy and Super Deluxe, the top ten films of 2019

This year the people have seen the greatest movies of all time whether it is a Hollywood movie or a Bollywood. Years from now this past decade will be seen as the period during which the film industry underwent great changes. These changes were the greater good and it will probably take another 10 years to fully understand.

Here are the top ten movies of this year

  1. Joker

The movie does not need any intro because it has become a massive hit worldwide. Todd Phillips’ Joker is an unrelentingly distressing drama about loneliness and unchecked mental illness.

2. The Perfection

The Perfection

The movie is available on Netflix and is a masterpiece of modern exploitation cinema with a subversive feminist slant. Please do watch the movie.

3. Avengers Endgame

Avengers Endgame

This is another movie this year that needs no introduction. I hope that you have already seen the movie and if you haven’t then it is a shame. Marvel’s Avengers Endgame is the biggest movie of all time and has broken all records in the box office.

4. Marriage Story

Marriage Story

It is so authentic that watching it occasionally feels like eavesdropping on a couple in their most vulnerable moments. It is a love story about falling out of love.

5. The Two Popes

The two Popes

The Two Popes is a triumphant capper to Netflix’s unofficial trilogy of awards contenders, following Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman and Marriage Story and it might just be the best of the lot.

6. Super Deluxe

Super Deluxe

It is so much fascinating that a Tamil movie can be in the top 10 list of the best movies of this year. The movie is all about an unfaithful wife, an estranged father and an angry boy who must face their demons on one fateful day.

7. Booksmart

Academic overachievers Amy and Molly thought keeping their noses to the grindstone gave them a leg up on their high school peers. But on the eve of graduation, the best friends suddenly realize that they may have missed out on the special moments of their teenage years. It is such a movie that you cannot miss it.

8. The Farewell

The Farewell

The movie is more than a tale about a woman caught between two worlds; it is a volatile mixture of American values and Asian attitudes.

 9. Gully Boy

Gully Boy

The movie is one of the best in Bollywood this year. Ranveer Singh as Murad has a passion for rapping and becoming famous. Although he has to face many consequences.

10. Parasite

The movie turned out to be just as tonally bonkers as any film the South Korean genius Bong Joon has ever made. Please do watch it guys since it tops the list.
