Director Justin Lin has verified that filming is completed on Fast & Furious 9.

The ninth mainline Fast & Furious was originally scheduled to open this season but was postponed to 2020 and its former date moved to the Hobbs & Shaw spinoff rather than This infamously led to Tyrese Gibson criticizing Dwayne Johnson on social networking, calling him “selfish” for putting his solo movie first.
