Fast and Furious 9 will not be premiereing as scheduled, here’s why

F9 or Fast and Furious is a sequel of the 2017’s The Fate of the Furious, it will be the ninth main installment in the Fast and Furious franchise and the tenth full-length film released overall. The film written by Daniel Casey is based on characters by Gary Scott Thompson.
Needless to say, devoted fans of the movie were extremely excited for the premiere that was set to happen on 20th May 2020 but this excitement was soon turned to disappointment when the creators announced that the premiere will be delayed considerably!

” Fast 9 ” has decided to push back it’s theatrical release date by a year! The franchise of the show, Universal Studios decided to make this decision due to the impact of the fast-moving ” Corona Virus” ( Cold- 19) and its impacts on the global economy and of course the disturbing effects of it. Moreover, theaters will remain closed in Italy, South Korea, and China, to make a few places. Rumors have it that some theaters will be closing down in the US too as the outbreak continues to spread.

Vin Diesel announced through his social media account, ” we feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga. That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May. While we know there is disappointed in having to wait for a little longer this movie is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration”!
