Universal has delivered modish posters for Fast and Furious 9, unveiling John Cena’s persona in the movie.
Over nineteen years, Fast and Furious has evolved from a film series about illegal street car racing into a franchise that is essentially about superheroes who protect the world from mercenaries and cyber terrorists.
Adding Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, Luke Evans and Jason Statham to his universe, the ensemble of the property has only increased with its scale, while also having Paul Walker farewell.
All things must end prematurely, and after the Fast and Furious 10 (which is tentatively scheduled for 2021) the core Fast and Furious movies will leave it.
Meanwhile, Fast and Furious 9 will open this year, pitting Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto against a new threat, who may or may not be a mystery character brought to life by Cena “The Champ” himself.
Diesel and Cena become accepted latest Fast and Furious 9 character posters, before-mentioned as their costar Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Ludacris (Tej Parker), Nathalie Emanuel (Ramsey), Tyriss Gibson (Roman Pearce), and Jordan Brewster (Mia Toretto) ) As you can see in the gallery below, these one-sheets continue to play suspense around the film’s plot, showing actors with their vehicles against a background of the smoke of various colors.
It is good to see Brewster in these F9 posters along with the rest of the Fast and Furious ensemble.
Because Furious Seven concluded by “retired” Walker’s character, Brian O’Connor, leaving him to live a quiet life with Mia and their children, Brewer did not follow.
These posters further suggested that Brewster would have a more active role in Fast and Furious 9, a role she portrayed in her previous two Fast and Furious films (once Mia became a mother). The film is expected to perform better by its women in general.
