Fantastic Beasts 3 is listed to begin making in Spring 2020 amidst the Johnny Depp controversy.

Johnny Depp first appeared as the evil Grindelwald in the second part of the eccentric Beasts film series; His involvement created discussion due to alleged verbal and physical abuse allegations made by his ex-wife Amber Hurd.

The controversy over the release of Fantastic Beasts 3 confirmed that Johnny Depp would reprise his role as Grindelwald in the upcoming sequel.
